Step inside a traditional Florentine ceramic studio and experience the beauty of Tuscan craftsmanship as you paint your own maiolica plate using authentic, time honored designs. In this small, intimate group setting, you'll be guided step by step by a Master Ceramist- no prior experience needed. This is a calm hands on experience designed for anyone who wants to slow down, get creative, and take home a truly personal souvenir from Florence. During the workshop you'll be introduced to the history of Tuscan maiolica, choose from a selection of traditional patterns, and enjoy a guided painting session in an authentic studio environment. At the end you will have a unique piece that reflects both local tradition and your own touch. Plate will be professionally glazed and fired. Please contact me for availability.

Weekly Ceramics Courses

My ceramics courses are more then just a place to learn pottery- they are an opportunity to slow down, work with your hands, and become part of a creative community in Florence. Located near Piazza Beccaria, the studio welcomes locals, international students, and expats looking for an authentic artistic experience in a relaxed environment. Whether you are completely new to ceramics or already have experience, the courses are personalized and designed to help you develop your creativity at your own pace while sharing the space with like-minded people. Many students join not only to learn traditional ceramic techniques, but also to meet new people, practice Italian and build meaningful connections through creativity. The studio atmosphere is informal, welcoming, and centered around craftsmanship, conversation, and community. Courses are hand-building amongst other traditional techniques. I offer flexible memberships for both short term and long term students.

I am proud to announce that my book, "Dei Vasi e dei Vasari," is hot off the presses! I will be hosting a presentation at my studio Friday June 26th at 18:00. I look forward to sharing this labor of love with all of you!

Il lab è già ormai a pieno regime ed è tempo anche per gli scultori di rimettersi all'opera. I corsi saranno suddivisi in trimestri ed ogni trimestre di 9 lezioni avrà una parte di modellazione libera e, finalmente, una parte con modello/a dal vero. Le lezioni saranno sempre il giovedì mattina (9:00-12:00) con un giorno di recupero al sabato per trimestre. Ci saranno inoltre workshop su temi specifici e artisti contemporanei.

zione annuale. Con la nuova formula a "pacchetti" vi chiediamo un impegno più costante per poter garantire a noi i margini economici e a voi risultati migliori poiché permetteremo all'insegnante di insegnare di più ad un gruppo più compatto.

Sanne ha preparato il calendario, che vedete qui sotto, per i prossimi mesi tenendo conto degli altri impegni lavorativi così non sposteremo lezioni e tutti potranno organizzarsi per tempo.

Primo trimestre:
5 settimane: 2/10 - 30/10, lavoro libero
4 settimane: 6/11 - 27/11, lavoriamo con modello (vestito, femminile e maschile, pose breve)
1 recupero: sabato 6/12

Secondo trimestre:
5 settimane: 8/1 - 5/2, lavoro libero
4 settimane: 12/2 - 5/3, lavoriamo con modello (maschile, semi vestito)
1 recupero: sabato 7/3

Terzo trimestre:
5 settimane: 9/4 - 7/5, lavoro libero
4 settimane: 14/5 - 4/6, lavoriamo con modello (femminile, semi vestita)
1 recupero: sabato 6/6


Pagamento* 
un mezzo trimestre libero (cioè le prime 5 settimane)
un trimestre pieno (5 settimane, lezioni libere + 4 lezioni con modello)**
un anno (cioè tre trimestri pieni)

* Ogni trimestre ha un giorno di recupero al sabato. 
** Costi per il modello non sono inclusi. € 30 alla volta, da dividere tra i corsisti.
